Bulldogs, Late this afternoon a cut was made in the gas line at the construction site of the new elementary school on Altus Air Force Base. The gas line cannot be repaired before the start of school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7. For the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff, Rivers Elementary will be closed on Wednesday, January 7. All other Altus Public Schools sites will be open and on a normal schedule. Students in Mrs. Bourland's 4th-grade math classes created game boards to practice their multiplication facts. Students worked in groups to determine rules, design game boards, and present their games to their classmates.
